1. Your Gutters Are Calling & If You Don’t Answer, They Might Soon Be Falling

Anytime any roofer anywhere talks about autumn, one of the first things that come up are your gutters – are they full? Are they old? Are they leaking or causing any pooling? So, you knew this would be one of our first tips,right?

Before anything else this fall, you need to clean your gutters of any debris – and we know most people say ‘I’ll clean them at the end of the fall, otherwise it’ll just get filled again with this year’s leaves’ and though that sounds great in theory, how many times do you think people actually follow through and go clean their gutters in early winter?

Then it becomes ‘well, it’s winter now, I’ll definitely clean them out as soon as it’s warm again’. See the cycle forming?

Do a visual check of your ceilings inside this autumn to check on your roof outside. Though this check is from the comfort and warmth of your home, it can give a great idea of what’s happening out in the cold.
