We at SPC Construction and Roofing know that you have a busy fall ahead of you. With everything from back-to-school shopping and lawn care to holidays and football parties to worry about, we know you might need a hand up top. That’s why we made a handy guide to help you beat this fall season and come out on the other side with a prepared roof and a little extra peace of mind.
There are lots of things you can do to help your roof be fully prepared for autumn and the onslaught of leaves that’ll be trying to bury it. But here are our top 3 tips for getting your roof ready for autumn, from SPC Construction and Roofing.
You knew this was coming, you knew it would be one of the first things all of us here at SPC Construction and Roofing recommended, and yet, here you are, gutters full of debris with yet another autumn fast approaching. So, what do you do?
Well, you have one of two options really – clean them yourself, of have SPC Roofing and Construction come out to your place and clean them for you. Whichever option you choose is up to you, and how busy your Fall is looking to become.
Regardless of who cleans them, your gutters should really be clear before this fall, as fall means more leaves will be falling down, and most likely, ending up in your gutter again. If you leave this until next spring, the double-dose of fall leaves could cause water to build up in your gutters, increasing the likelihood of water damage later this fall or winter. And that’s something you definitely don’t need!
It might seem like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised how rarely people check their roofs for cracks or gaps. Of course, no one wants openings in their roof, or missing shingles, as this defeats the purpose of a roof over your head.
However, if you just don’t have the time or the desire to get out the old ladder and clamber around on your roof top, talk to us at SPC Construction and Roofing as we can do a FREE roof inspection for you with one of our drones.
We will fly overhead, checking your roof from above and letting you know of any potential issues that could arise in the fall or winter months. Don’t be surprised this year (except maybe for Christmas) and get a free roof inspection from SPC Construction and Roofing today!
Just because it’s not visibly apart of your roof, doesn’t mean that you should ignore what the inside of your home is telling you. On a nice, sunny day (we have so few of them in Texas, I know) go through your home and look for any discoloration or spots on the ceiling. They could be a sign that something is amiss up above. Don’t forget to check the attic too.
If you find something you aren’t a fan of, no worries. Give SPC Construction and Roofing a call and we’ll come right out and see what’s going on with your home’s hat. Maybe it’s just a minor roof repair, maybe it’s a whole roof replacement, but either way, getting it sorted before winter comes is a priority for us.
Did you know that September 22nd marks the first day of fall? That doesn’t leave a lot of time to prepare your roof for the coming leaf changes and drops. So, call SPC Construction and Roofing today to see what we can do for your roof, gutters or even provide a free inspection from above.
We hope to hear from you soon! And in the meantime, check out our blog for more helpful roofing hints.
