Everyone knows that ‘Autumn maintenance’ really means ‘clean your gutters’. Unfortunately, even though everyone knows they should be cleaning their gutters regularly, many don’t, which can cause big (and expensive) problems down the road.

So, if your gutters are full of debris with yet another Autumn fast approaching, call SPC Construction and Roofing…or, do it yourself. Whichever option you choose is up to you, and how busy your Fall is looking.

Regardless of who cleans or replaces your gutters, they need to be clear before Autumn gets into full swing, as Autumn means more leaves will fall, and more will end up clogging and blocking your gutters from functioning as they should. Water building up in your gutters increases the likelihood of water damage later this Fall or even this Winter.

Look for Leaks & Signs

You usually learn about leaks from the inside out, once it’s too late and the intrusive water has caused damage. What we recommend, is to take a walk outside and look for any potential leaking areas, then, do the same check inside and see if there is any visible damage. Don’t forget to check the attic too!
